Drafter / CAD Operator IV

Position Summary
Action Technology Services is seeking a Drafter / CAD Operator IV to support a Department of Defense customer. The contract provides C4I/IT electronic systems equipment, infrastructure, engineering, design, installation, supply, and warehouse support to Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) during the design, installation, configuration, and transition to operations of IT infrastructure for multiple facilities within the NC3 Alert Campus. Services include design, installation, termination, test, and documentation of network and desktop devices, peripherals, IT cabling, racks, and power distribution units (PDUs), in accordance with government installation design plans (IDPs), the NIWC Pacific Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH), and project sponsor processes.
Duties
- -Support the NIWC Pacific embedded engineering team in developing integrated, cost-effective solutions that meet USSTRATCOM requirements
- -Assist in developing the Top-Level Design (TLD) by drafting and refining assigned portions; participate in interim and final reviews
- -Create and modify complex technical drawings and 3D models in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) in compliance with industry standards and project specifications
- -Interpret engineering designs, blueprints, and schematics to develop accurate drawings, resolving design conflicts and optimizing layouts for construction
- -Work with engineers, architects, and project teams to refine designs and maintain detailed documentation
- -Document testing, installation, configuration, optimization, operations, and IA-compliance procedures with IT engineers
- -Recommend improvements to documents that support engineering activities
- -Identify document production milestones and track them within the overall project schedule
- -Lead CAD documentation development efforts as needed
Requirements
- -6-8 years of CAD, AutoCAD, and/or Revit experience
- -AutoCAD certification preferred
- -CAD experience supporting design, installation, configuration, integration, and testing of IT services in complex environments with multiple classification enclaves, integrated with C2 systems and associated information assurance processes
- -Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, drafting, or equivalent experience preferred
- -Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
