    About the Role

Action Technology Services is hiring an AV Technician 1 for the Arizona Crew in Sierra Vista / Fort Huachuca. You will pull cable, terminate shielded Cat6A, dress racks, mount displays, and support Extron AVoIP installs in conference rooms, command-and-control, emergency operations centers, auditoriums, and combinable spaces, including DoW and federal sites. This is the entry installer role. You work under a Tech 2 or Tech 3 Lead, prove your workmanship and Extron AVoIP basics, and earn Tech 2. You supply basic tools and test sets; the company supplies heavy tooling. On-call starts at Tech 2.

    What You Will Do

    • -Pull, dress, label, and support termination of shielded Cat6A and 22 AWG shielded audio to Phoenix terminal blocks, to the company workmanship standard
    • -Mount displays, speakers, and Extron AVoIP endpoints from a released drawing; stop if the drawing and the wall do not match
    • -Follow the fastener hierarchy: structure first; toggle bolts and togglers only when the workmanship guide allows them
    • -Record serials, MACs, and labels for every device you touch; photograph unclassified work only and never photograph a classified space
    • -Assist on Extron AVoIP, Dante, Q-SYS, Biamp/Tesira, Crestron NVX, Shure, Netgear AV Line, and Cisco jobs; do not change a configuration you were not assigned
    • -Keep the site clean, escort rules intact, and the job packet current
    • -Complete OSHA-10 and Dante Level 1 on the published timeline and prepare for the internal Extron AVoIP practical and Workmanship Check, both required for Tech 2

    Required Qualifications

    • -U.S. citizenship; able to start Secret eligibility immediately
    • -Valid driver's license and ability to travel in Arizona and CONUS as assigned
    • -Ability to read a one-line and a rack elevation, and to stop when you cannot
    • -Professional basic hand tools and a cable test set you own and bring to work; the company does not issue a personal tool kit, vehicle, or phone
    • -Ability to lift 50 lb, work on ladders, and work in occupied federal buildings
    • -Willingness to sign an education commitment letter if the company pays for a class ($3,000 annual training budget; exam fee is yours; reimbursement only on a pass)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • -Prior low-voltage, data, electrical helper, or live-event experience
    • -Any Extron, Dante, Crestron, or Biamp exposure
    • -Active Secret or TS/SCI

    How Success Is Measured

Clean workmanship to standard, accurate device records, drawing discipline, OSHA-10 and Dante Level 1 completed on time, and readiness to pass the Extron AVoIP practical and Workmanship Check for Tech 2.

    Work Environment

Site work in Sierra Vista / Fort Huachuca and travel to other federal sites. Early starts and occasional overtime with pre-approval. No paid on-call at this level. Site-required PPE is specified in each job packet.
